January 2021 Camp Sinawa Trail Ambassador Field Day for Division 1, 2, and 3. An online course must be done prior to this event. When you pay for the class, you'll get instructions on how to complete the online study guide.

Event RSVP at: https://rl4wd.com/shop/Jan-2021-Camp-Sinawa-Trail-Ambassador-Field-Day-p244671615

Volunteering as a Trail Ambassador helps us keep and expand 4x4 trails and riding opportunities. This Trail Ambassador class involves a morning classroom session and afternoon hands-on skills session. Trail Ambassadors are needed to report trail conditions, help people out on the trails, and to host small rides at our private and public trail areas.

Optional ride Friday night for those interested.

Saturday meeting in the parking lot most likely to practice skill sets.

Sunday, additional training, and riding are possible for those who stay at the camp.

Please RSVP your cabin, RV, or tent space with Ranger Sarah 920-827-6811 if you would like a heated cabin or RV/Tent space.

Ticket fees are for the background check, Trail Ambassador integration, membership card reprint with TGA info, TGA vests, and future RL4WD discounted memberships. You’ll get a 2-year extension on your RL4WD membership ($100+ dollar value). Our aim is to give you more value than the cost of the class.

For the background checks, we look for things like recent violent crimes, sexual misconduct, OWI’s/DWI’s etc. We understand people have a past and that things done in your youth don’t represent who you are now many years later. If you want to talk about something in your background check, please feel free to contact Ryan Harden before paying for this event.

This class certifies you as a Division 2 RL4WD Trail Ambassador through our https://trailambassador.com/ program here at the office. We are a recognized group within the WI DNR, DOT, Tourism, along with many other local, state, and federal agencies.

Cost: $100 per person (new vests now go up to 5XL and have 3 colors)

Okay peeps, we have a date and time set for our first meeting! We will be meeting at Willys World 9330 S 27th St, Oak Creek, WI 53154 Same Place we had the informational meeting. It will be held Feb 13th at noon. The 4 officers are confirmed as being available.

Our 4 nominated officers are going to meet with Ric virtually ahead of the meeting and discuss the meetings agenda, look for more to come shortly.
For Now at least the meeting time is set!

Unless of course Money from heaven snows down on us that day, in which case I am out.
Also, please bring a lawn chair for yourself, as there are only a few chairs available at Rics shop!

Glacial Lake 4x4 invites all Rl4wd members with all RL4wd vehicles (including trucks) to an Oshkosh meet and greet where we will meet at Menominee Park to cross frozen Lake Winnebago. We will then proceed back across or around the lake to continue our meet and greet at Mineshaft for supper with our families and arcade games. Don’t want to overland over water just meet us at mineshaft around 4 or 5.

I don’t ice fish nor have I crossed the lake before but the ice roads sound awesome to me. No ice is ever 100% safe. Cross at your own risk. Spear fishing goes until 1 and it is opening day. I wanted to get this on the calendar now that it is cold and ice is thick enough but things may change dependent on weather, ice, or out of respect for fishermen and women. We don’t want to get in their way but I’ve heard many people, not fishing, cross the lake as a shortcut all the time.

Anyone that’s more familiar with Winnebago, the fishing clubs, or where exactly to cross please reach out to me. The fish clubs that plow the road, place the bridges, and Christmas tree markers accept donations. Glacial Lake 4x4 will also be accepting donations per rig. Contributing to this chapter has a direct impact on trail maintenance at Camp Sinawa where we will be paying for trail and intersection signs this spring.
